Involved in little more than her studies, Brooke notices Grace's hope-filled attitude, and asks where Grace finds her optimism. Kane is floored to learn that Wallace was formerly an atheist who was converted to Christianity. His opening argument suggests that the society of the United States will crumble should Grace fail to be found guilty. Although its story in unrelated, this sequel resembles its predecessor in that it tells a story about Christians being persecuted by non-believers. Jude and Martin watch as David is taken away. It was confirmed that White's character from the first two films would return, and that the post-credits scene in God's Not Dead 2 would hint at the plot of the next film. The mature themes and slower pace make it best for teens to adults, mostly because little ones might be bored by all the dialogue. She reprimands Grace, saying that the teacher's faith clouded her judgment. The jury ultimately finds in favor of Grace, who rejoices along with Brooke and Endler as Kane stands humiliated. Grace responds in the affirmative, and relates parts of scripture to his teachings. Christian apologists and authors and appear as trial witnesses. I had a chance to interview the two stars and they both revealed how their roles helped them to better understand their own faith and the importance of knowing what you believe and why. The movie also hates on nearly everyone but Christians.
It was the final film role for , who died in November 2015. It has many flaws mostly in how messy the script is with about 4 subplots. Yip angrily rebukes Martin for following God despite the family's sacrifices. White to ask him several questions about God. Melissa is perfectly cast as Grace - a single teacher who loves her job, her students and takes a stand for what she believes in. Kane builds a strong case against Grace by bringing forward witnesses such as Kinney and Brooke's parents, prompting Endler to rethink their defense. The ensuing epic court case could expel God from the classroom—and the public square—once and for all! Kane is able to trick her into admitting that it was Grace and not Brooke who initiated their first conversation about Jesus.
I know this is basically self promotion but at the same time you've got to get yourself out there somehow. Amy ponders this, and later makes her blog a diary about her adventures with God. Everyone else will be left wondering why its fans seem to be suffering from such a. Grace is subsequently brought before the School Board, who inform her that legal action will be taken against her as she has violated the. One student immediately texts his parents about the class, and the ensuing backlash draws the ire of Principal Kinney. As Grace lectures on and , Brooke asks whether their peaceful teachings relate to the biblical account of the. Amy encourages Brooke to follow her heart, despite what others are making her do.
. She talks to Michael Tait of the , who encourages her, stating that with faith, prayers can be answered. In a post-credits scene, a fully recovered David is arrested by the police for failing to turn in his sermons to the government, shown earlier in the film. Jesse plays a young lawyer full of doubts about his client but as the trial progresses, Tom learns to respect and understand what their courtroom battle really represents. The plot is so messy though, characters mostly bad except for the teacher and the lawyer, also the script tries to overdramatize everything, and even though there's a small amount of good chemistry and a good idea somewhere in this film it never shines. I picked this cause everyone fights over these types of films and I just wanted to watch it as a normal film. As Grace becomes more and more discouraged, Brooke and her friends sing her a song in an attempt to build up her spirits.
They talk about God, and Martin eventually brings Brooke to God. Ernie Hudson and Robin Givens also star.
