He makes you cry, he makes you laugh and sometimes, both at once. She is the perfect cast for the role. Somehow as the film progresses this problem seems to go. It is around this that the brilliantly etched characters take on a journey, of self discover while 'attached' to the missing person. This web just only a search engine media, not a storage or cloud server from the file.
As the search goes on, Shiva perceives more things about his father, his early life and more than anything, about himself. In fact, she herself will be more concerned than Venky's son, Shiva Rakshit Shetty. Anantnag, the perfectionist, is at his all time best staying as close to reality performance, which has always been his strength as an actor. With these new flicks coming , i wish the dynasty rule and mass audience rule will end in kannada industry and true stars shine again. Achyuth Kumar's entry marks the twist in the plot.
But these are minor blemishes in an otherwise flawless venture which is sure to make your heart heavy and eyes wet at the same time with a smile on your face. Not belittling Hemant M Kumar's efforts in writing or executing his written work. Nuraru janumadalu Ee anuraagadanubanda olidhaagide Sangeetha sudheyaagi Ee bayakeya alegalu jevavagive Jaaro sanje rangalli Kavidanthe naliyona Preethiyinda aavarisu Sogasada ninna mathinalli nanna serisu. It is sad, but true, that as time goes by, bonds break, and the threads of relationships slowly fray, as one attempts to stay in the rat race that is life. Its not all hunky dory though as you hear too loud background songs which are out of sync with the narrative in the first half, the movie could be shorter by 15 min and the actions of the doctor are little hard to believe. Anant Nag is quite clearly the star of this movie, and the veteran puts in what might just be the finest performance of his career here.
He holds your attention from his introductory scene right till the climax, and there is not one false note in his performance. However, the narration is in a different order which is the actual fun of the film. Hemanth has managed to keep these two tracks progressing at a slow pace and when these tracks meet the film takes a turn. After a shopping trip involving some rude behaviour by Shiva, Venkob Rao goes missing unexpectedly. Rakshit Shetty puts in a good performance for the most, except for certain bits in the first half where his performance seems off-key. One of the biggest surprises in this movie for me, was the arc given to the character essayed by Vasishta N Simha. The film at times seemed to lag.
A special mention needs to be made of Vasishta N Simha, who will remind you of Raghuvaran, as the vicious goon grappling with his conscience. We sometimes feel old generation is boring , this was answered well by the movie. Hemanth has tapped in this situation as an engaging plot and has showcased it in a contemporary setup fixing the locations in and around Bangalore. From the beginning, we are sucked into the story and except for a minuscule part of the 2nd half where things seem a wee bit stretched the audience stays fully invested in the story and the characters throughout. A brilliant movie raising many topical issues. The film is about Venkob Rao Anant Nag , a middle class simpleton ailing with Alzheimer's, who goes missing.
In his search for his father, he finds a lot more than he set out to find. The narrative had scope to make more use of him, however he has limited appearance, makes me feel that his role is underwritten. One does not feel the length of the movie. Will Venkob Rao survive this ordeal? The brilliance is when the story develops as Rao ends up with two criminals, who were heading to dispose the corpse of an important person. His son, Shiva Rakshit Shetty is a career driven person, who is forced to pause his hectic life to search for his father. The songs were released in 2016.
Especially noteworthy are how the songs Ee Sanjege, Ayomaya and Komala Henne have been used in the movie. ! The sad thing is that Kannada films are not getting enough screenings in Bengaluru even though it is the birth place of Sandalwood. The music is very apt and is only used in the background to suit the mood on-screen. You'll want to watch it again for it's emotional heart-touching father-son relationship portayed in the film. Such was Anant Nag's character and performance Rakshith Shetty as Shiva is not done a double role, but we find two of him one before interval and one exactly opposite post interval who represents each one of us in this fast running behind :P generation who gets a shock of his life only when his father goes missing,,,,,,,,ultimate show Rakshith, more heart emoticonShruti as darling Sahana in the movie has hardly any makeup,,,a truest, sweetest characterization of a perfect doctor with great patience, high hopes and a heart full of love. All the other supporting actors of the movie seem to justify their characters.
Watching Michael Mann's use of light within cars all thru 'Collateral' might be a good thing for these filmmakers to watch once again and take few notes 'Kali', in the recent past, was another flick that was good but still detracted during its key moments due to this perceived failing, imho. An excellent debut by Hemanth Rao. The father son relationship could have been the track to be concentrated. Emotions are all understated and natural. The director gives depth to all its characters and even the thugs come across as genuine.
It is used to describe one's physical characteristics when one goes missing and that's exactly what happens in this movie. Each character in the movie is fleshed out perfectly, and at no point in the movie do they ever strike a false note. Movie is all about the dialogue expressions, more importantly the delivery of emotions. This is easily one of the best Kannada movies to have been made in the past few years, if not the best, in spite of a few rough edges. What we get to watch is series of incidents that bind the characters leading to transformation.
