If you can shift without a clutch its hydraulically driven one way or another, at minimum it has a torque converter. It sounds pretty quiet from here.

Sorry to disagree, but that is not correct. Should I just change the filter, clean the suction tube at the bottom and fill her full of New Holland oil and see what happens?? The videos I have seen on YouTube show the speed changes, but I wondered if reverse could be included in the selections. You are thinking of the pickup screen which is just a mesh screen and one I've never replaced either. If you don't have a light there is a process of figuring out the right cable length setting by using a pressure gauge hooked somewhere. Not that I'm a huge fan of any power shift tranny or hydrostat tranny.

Cheap fuel so didnt matter it wasnt particularly efficient. Think I would get some oil in her after a clean out and run her up. You do need the engine running to test the unit and set the pressure. All transmissions are tested before shipment on our test stand. And it saves me having to use a clutch with my bad left leg.
