Sam is offered a new job in Newtown. Mitchell re-made the Fireman Sam kiddie ride with a new Dashboard, and Penny took Station Officer Steele's Place. Since 2014, they now wear lava red wet-suits with yellow life jackets and red helmets. The original series finished in 1994, and a new series which expanded the character cast commenced in 2003. Back at the fire station, Sam and Penny Morris rescue Mike Flood from drowning in the harbour sea. Norman suggests that they should call other fire engines from Newtown but Steele tells him that they would be too far away to get there in time. Plot During a fierce storm, Charlie Jones is blown out of the lighthouse and left hanging from the balcony.
The town has a huge party to celebrate. Meanwhile at the lighthouse, Mike Flood forgot his phone and hammer and locks himself in the lighthouse. Since Heroes of the Storm, they now have a state-of-the-art fire station with many technological features and developing new skills such as amphibious and animal rescue capabilities. It is very little referenced in Fireman Sam, but it is mostly mentioned when the Pontypandy firefighters learn new skills there e. After saving Mike, Penny finds out about the job offer and says that Sam will be missed.
Tom attempts to dampen the forest down in his helicopter but has no effect so Station Officer Steele warns everyone that if they cannot contain it they will have to evacuate the town. Steele then tells everyone to retreat to collect Chief Fire Officer Boyce and go straight to the harbour. Will Fireman Sam leave Pontypandy? Mike finally makes time to spend with Helen and Mandy. At the end of the movie, Elvis is awarded for saving Sam and the group of Pontypandy pioneers are rewarded, except for Norman and Derek. Steele has also driven it in some of the story books from 1990's. Then Radar finds the sausages from Norman's bag.
Derek, angry at not getting a medal, blames Norman for bringing sausages and setting the fire, while Norman blames Derek for wanting sausages. His job is as the village's bus driver. Helen decides to take Mandy on foot, and she agrees. Expertly driven by Sam and the crew, Jupiter is a welcome sight to anyone in trouble. Sam decides to reject the Chief's promotion and chooses to stay in Pontypandy because he sees the town needs him.
Before Sam can sign it, he is called out to help Mike Flood who has fallen off the boathouse roof whilst fitting a weather vane. Sam and Penny read the code and call Steele to the forest. Fireman Sam is an animated children's television series about a fireman called Sam, his fellow firefighters, and other townspeople in the fictional Welsh rural town of Pontypandy a portmanteau of two real towns, Pontypridd and Tonypandy, which are situated approximately 5 miles 8. Mandy then complains that Mike, who was supposed to fix the ambulance, is too busy to spend time with his family. She is the only child in Pontypandy to use a wheelchair.

Sam reads out the letters and Penny spots the smoke coming from the forest. As a former army officer, he insists upon a high standard of efficiency in the fire station. They call Station Officer Steele to the forest. Since 2015, they now wear an updated tunic which replaces the buttons with 3 magnetic clips and a small waterproof walkie-talkie, the insignia slide has also been removed. Everyone is shocked, Steele scolds Norman for setting the forest on fire, and Dilys says that she will make sure Norman is properly dealt with. The vehicles drive to the harbour as Sam looks at the stormy clouds pleading them to come towards the fire.
Since Season 5, it has had six wheels. Sam and Elvis are called and with a lot of effort, they save Charlie and help warn the ships about the rocks using Jupiter's headlights. Norman has accidentally started a fire while camping with the Pioneer Scouts. Meanwhile, Mike forgets the phone and the hammer, and locks himself in the lighthouse after he mends the door. The film was rated G, and was advised for children aged 5 and up. The Station officers helmet is white with 1 thin black band.

A falling branch nearly hits Sam but Elvis comes to the rescue, diving and pushing Sam out of the way. It plays the Fireman Sam theme tune and the emergency theme. Dilys has packed lots of things, but Trevor, who is in charge of the trip, says that they can't bring anything because the Pioneers are attempting to get their survivalist badges. The campsite group smell the smoke and leave the campsite to get out of the forest. He is known for his fondness for cricket, his fear of heights, his awkward manner and general bad luck streak. Penny is often known to go on adventures with the's children — Sarah and James, Norman Price and Mandy Flood.
