Handles great, great with power, easy to drive, park, etc. I would do it all over again. Lots of handy gadgets, nice shuttle lighting of instruments, lots of stowing areas and compartments, comfortable seats and ride. Both engines offer variable valve timing and can be mated to an optional all-wheel-drive system. New for 2007 is the addition of a storage compartment on the passenger side of the instrument panel. This platform provides a solid, flex-free foundation that allows the suspension to do its job.
Glad I held out for my favorite color, and one with all the options too. Station wagon fans think wagons are more sophisticated than sport utilities, possibly because they are. The V8s are smooth and confident and deliver brilliant acceleration for a vehicle of this size. Each row of seats sits higher than the one in front of it, theater style, so everyone can see out. Love the sunroof, Bose radio, and the navigation system! While Europeans buy lots of station wagons, American buyers have not received them well because of the mom-mobile image. Cadillac also has mated the Northstar V8-equipped models to a new fully electronic six-speed automatic transmission for 2007. Published reviews will be distributed to , , , and other web sites. At 57000 miles it is still smooth and quiet. They also suffered at least on the west coast from comparison with larger Escalades. Both engines feature the latest technology, including electronic throttle control and four overhead cams with fully variable valve timing.
Very nicely thought out and would recommend to anyone with children. We loved its smooth, extremely quiet ride and spirited handling while driving it on twisting mountain roads in Arizona. The ultra-view sunroof is probably my favorite feature and has been a hit with everyone who has ridden in the back seat. The Ultra View Plus option adds a shaded glass roof over the third row. They enjoy the benefit of a sunroof in the backseat but the design prevents them from being blasted with outside air.
Other standard amenities include power front bucket seats, a tilting leather-wrapped steering wheel with redundant audio and climate controls, power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, a complimentary year of OnStar service, and parking assist. Gas mileage is what should be expected for it's size and weight. I got the car home and had it inspected by a local mechanic. Safety features include most of the active and passive safety features available today. And I'd like to see more options in exterior colors. The standard interior has two rows of seats for five. I was very pleased with the test drive and asked the salesman several questions since I could not do a thorough inspection.
Overall a very good car. This allowed Cadillac to hide the air bags by punching tiny perforations into the back side of the leather instead of leaving a visible plastic seam. Love it or hate it, it's bold and unabashedly American. It delivers as much or more functionality, space and all-weather capability as most sport utilities, but it's wrapped in a distinctive package and delivers a spirited driving experience. Goodyear tires ride on handsome 17-inch machined aluminum wheels, which are bolted to very capable four wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The interior is stylish and comfortable. Good sized suv, very stylish and well finished inside and out.
It feels better planted in sloppy stuff, and the optional all-wheel drive maximizes whatever traction is available by sending engine power to the wheels with the best grip. Most people don't know they exist; when they see ours, they can't believe how nice it is. I have had six adults in this vehicle and all were comfortable. Cadillac's Northstar V8 is rated at 320 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. The styling is getting a little long in the tooth at this point, however. Its sharp handling, quick acceleration and high-performance braking make for a sporty, enjoyable experience with a smooth, extremely quiet ride. Original giant sliding sunroof, made a bit smaller for 2007, but doesn't have the torque that created a snap, crackle, pop sound previously.
The transmissions also have a manual mode that allows the driver to do the shifting by clicking the gear lever. A Bose audio system becomes standard on every model, while a 5. The V8 also adds 18-inch wheels and a tire pressure monitoring system. The dealership did the best that they could do, but it was the factory that dragged their feet with the parts. Too bad they were overpriced, under advertised and poorly assembled during their first three years 2003-2005. Failed to get data, please try again.
It depends how fast you're going of course, but with the air on, 2 folks in the car, set on cruise at 62, on level ground it gets about 23 - 24 mpg. I was told there were no collisions on the vehicle. It's function I love, and the luxury that goes with it is wonderful. There could be a supercharged turbine under the hood, but you'd never be able to tell by its subtle engine note. At a time where many brands are using the same suppliers for interior trim, it's nice to find a car that looks custom.
The second seat powers back and forth for more legroom or more cargo space. I have owned this car since new and have looked at others to replace it only because I like driving a new car and I can't find anything I like better. The cargo area in the five-passenger model can be outfitted with covered storage spaces built into the floor. Can't rotate tires two different sizes. This vehicle has it all, at a used price we could not pass up.
