Posted on May 26, 2009 This could be something as simple as a ground not making good enough connection. Shut it off, turned it back on, and about 30 seconds later the problem presented itself again. It should never fall below 150Ω. Light starting coming on again within a few days, when light comes on problem with brakes. When the odometer registered 500 additional miles the check engine light re-sets and comes back on.
What can be done to force Chrysler to recall this sensor?. I am concerned by other peoples write-ins on this situation. I figure it's like any other computer component and it fails and that's it, there's no coming back. The bus 'wakes up' the modules. I can't sell the car and I'm afraid to drive it outside of the neighborhood. I have a 2000 and I tried to get around replacing the knock sensor. The braking system should still work, but they could lock up if you have to brake quickly.
Locks, seat controls, mirrors all working fine. Some vehicles older you were able to manually flash the codes.
