I have never heard of such a think, and feel it is something the mfg should be responsible for since it is an environmental issue. Now they tell me they have to replace the governor sensor and a selnoid. Make sure it is not just in limp mode.
It's been a good vehicle, so we're not losing sleep over this repair. The failure recurred one month later, the vehicle stopped accelerating and felt like it was in neutral.
