The van has 60k and after spending over 300 to fix nothing we are frustrated. My Town and Country has the 4. But the van also just quits like no power. It has happened several times since it was services. They checked everything fuse box, electrical system, ignition switch. It started and has run since.
I have 4 children and this is our designated family vehicle!! All these were tested good. For some reason, the van is not recognizing that the vehicle is in Park and can be started. Not sure why that would matter… Anyway, posting this because I learned a lot from the page while trying to figure out the problem, maybe someone can gain from my experience. I thought it was a fluke but then 3 days later I was traveling down the road at 55mph when it happened again and I trouble trying to steer it off the road. Make sure you have no key rings or keys that could weight your key down and cause the car to stall, lose steering, and put my family in danger… no biggie! Anyone got any ideas how to pursue this? ?????? I keep lubing the hinges and lift tubes fittings. Now 1 year later the low rpm misfires are back. I am going to switch to a 10-40 mineral oil for several oil changes. The local dealership initially denied there was a recall and then claimed the issue was not due to the recall work. My 1st occurrence happened while I was turning right. I just filled up yesterday and am planning a trip out of town so I am concerned about this.
