The cats are pretty much the reason they end up meeting each other during a meet cute in the pet food aisle of a local supermarket. The previous lives were good but something has to change to make this one the best. We are heading north over the weekend to see the Mrs. Ambrose is a cat who is already in his ninth life. I do have some qualms with it though, so only the stars from me.
When I read the synopsis and saw this one also featured a cat, well. Ambrose meets his new owner Zach and encourages a romance with pet store assistant Merilee, as a couple they are lovely and together Ambrose hopes for a happy ninth life as a family. And it turned out it was like a cute Lifetime movie. Especially Chief Sam Gregory Harrison , who was always on hard to dish out some life advice. As we all know Cats have nine lives and the main character of this book Ambrose is on his last one, and he doesn't want to go just yet, and he doesn't want his last life to be ruined by a vicious dog that won't stop chasing him.
Ambrose and Queenie become friendly right away. This was all in all a really enjoyable and cute Christmas story. However it's the journey that takes to wonderful and almost unexpected places! While the cats are not particularly instrumental in bringing the couple together except in the most rudimentary way they are featured throughout the film and add a nice element to the story. Merilee was a really great character. Overall, I still enjoyed the novel, and Zach did have some redeeming qualities, but I really prefer romances about adults. I recently read The Snow Globe which I really enjoyed. I earn a few cents commission, which helps to offset the cost of this website. I was afraid at first that this book might end up very sad. I just wish there had been more of them. I didn't particularly enjoy them either.
