To try to repair the cable damage itself, I pushed the oval-deformed area back to it's original form and put some electrical tape on both sides, which until now has fixed the keyboard back to normal I'm typing on it, yay! However, the most unlikely solution I came across was someone mentioning damaged ribbon cable that connects laptop keyboard to motherboard. How will resetting the battery fix issues with the keyboard?? I came back to this post just to update what happened in my notebook. When a brand rely in outside companies to perform repairs, they totally lose the control of the really true of the problem. Therefore the issue may exist just for the time being.

I have the exact same problem. The first thing to check is whether the key itself is actually operating. Mine had problems on space bar, S, 7, 6, Z, numlock and windows key. If not working, then follow Tip 3. See picture below: Step 3: Reattach the space bar to the keyboard.

I am typing with the same keyboard :. Sometimes when I pressed a key, three characters use to appear. Well I had just replaced the power jack and this happened when I reassembled it. Keep holding the buttons for an additional 15 seconds, then let go and then power your system back on. Even removed keys from laptop and cleaned underneath. Then, press and hold volume up and then press and hold the power button. Key presses were often not registered, even though the button felt like it was being pressed correctly.
