Keaton shines in the film and MacDowell is terrific as his wife. If you want to see agood comedy, I recommend this one. I'm prettypicky about my comedies, but this one raised itself above the pack. The track occasionally folds in some surround integration, such as during the cloning process in chapter two around the 19-minute mark when music and machinery come together in a somewhat more harmonious and immersive sequence compared to the relatively straightforward and front-heavy elements that precede the scene. How about elevating the material to true screwball, instead of staying at the level of sitcom and human comedy? The effeminate Doug alone makes the movie worth a watch. The cloning technology in thefilm is no more believable than are wish granting fairy godmothers, but weall enjoy movies about ghosts, werewolves, monsters, and such, with outtheir having to be validated, so I tip my hat to director Harold Ramis forinstead just dealing with the nuts and bolts of facing the clone, or oneselfas it were.
