His Mega Magic Guitars, Mega Magic Pads and Northern Lights are, imo, unparalleled he also generally makes Serum and Kontakt versions. When you want something moodier and more evocative, use mellotron samples. There are a tremendous amount of possibilities but I didn't find so many cool string sounds Some of them are very nice but their attack is so slow it's not usable except as a soft and warm pad type of string sound. I see some companies who offer those products set the prices for people who really make lots of money by making music so those products for average Joe in most cases are out of range. Do you know where I could find the owner's manual? In something like Kontakt, you'll have to know what's in the libraries you own.
The sounds aren't bad at all but they just seem so ordinary. I bought the Olafur Arnalds Evolutions library recently and love it. Some free some paid, but the paid ones are to expensive to upgrade one by one. Of course I can buy each of them separately but then I would end up buying half of the amount for the same price. Both have thousands of presets, but I find that Omni's are more useable as starting points for my own creations. Can I use the software on two computers? Just dont have 5 seconds per sound to load for auditioning. Welcome and enjoy the community! Other than that, Omni is chock full of great presets and sound design capabilities unlike anything I've ever used.
Sometimes you can find someone selling an old version of Komplete, and use that license to upgrade to the latest at a huge savings. It's rare that anyone who isn't into sound design will even bother to twiddle the knobs on a synth, They just browse through patches. I'm talking about the biggest producers out there. To me ,its not even close. Omnisphere is a synth whilst Komplete is a bundle. Pick the controller of your choice and it can also be an additional synth , that's it.
In general I'd lean towards Komplete 6 though because of the variety and expandability via Kontakt. That is bad philosophy because it will cause lots of piracy. Of course in the thousands of sounds, you have hundreds and thousands of simple sounds too, so it's worth a try in any case. I'm saying that on my end ,they take too long to load. There are the Rounds synth and Drumlab hybrid drum sampler, various Komplete instruments including the Kontour and Session Horns, and an outstanding collection of Komplete effects featuring the Supercharger and Driver. After upgrading from Live7 90% of my plugins do not work anymore.
This really depends on your goals and how much time you plan to give them. Omnisphere has pianos, for example, but they're special pianos -- like a piano sampled while it was literally on fire. If you want amazing sounds but you're a preset surfer then Omnispherefor sure. Action Strikes, for example, is for cinematic orchestral hits. Even if you don't, I think Komplete is a much better deal than Omnisphere.
I figure one or two here might share my mania, and have some wise words for me. They find a patch in Sylenth and call it a day. I was looking forward to finding out. You're talking about two different worlds here, big ones. If you were to compare the two on the sheer number of included sounds then yes they are pretty close but for Sound design, Omnisphere wins hands down. Likewise, I use Kontakt on about 90% of my projects. Some of my tracks are just Omnisphere with Keyscape and Trillian patches and 808-type beats.
If you were to compare the two on the sheer number of included sounds then yes they are pretty close but for Sound design, Omnisphere wins hands down. This applies to your work as well as work from a third party. Also, you can just bring the external drive with you if you have a production computer and a laptop for performing rather than install the samples twice, which could take hours. But if you already have a good collection of that kind of thing, or have the suite instruments, then there would be more overlap operator and fm8, sampler etc. I wish all software synth developers incorporated this feature in their patch browsers.
I can go on but you get the idea. You may only post such content to ask specific production related questions e. By definition then it is a much broader palette of sounds than Omnisphere, which is a single extremely powerful synth. I'm not assuming anything, using an external drive for samples is common practice. This is what Sound Match is all about. Nexus is a toy compared to Omnisphere.
. Each band features its own controls for digital or analog saturation, dynamics control, and delay, reverb, and modulation effects. Shall we try to keep it that way? Sometimes they nail the sound, but I still hate the plugin. Mix two sample patches, two synths or mix and match using the A and B sections. So far, I have held off, but recently have been more and more feeling my resistance weakening. You should demo the products concerned and see which fits you best, everyone makes their recommendations based on their own personal workflow and needs, which could well be different from yours. As for better overall product, that's obviously Komplete since it has a ton of other things while Omnisphere is just a synth.
