H50 has to deal with modern crime and everything it represents, including bombs, terrorist plots, government interference and even the occasional tsunami. Here, it gets tense, the air electrified with the threat posed by these complex crims. Chin Ho Daniel Dae Kim is investigated by Internal Affairs about his ties to the head of a drug cartel and Catherine Michelle Borth gains a spot on the team but must repay a debt of honor in Afghanistan. As the team investigate, they find evidence that the bride has a shady past while Danny makes a decision, one that could ultimately affect his relationship with Gabby. However, it very quickly descends into chaos as, following an armed assault on Fat's cell, the palace is besieged by revolutionaries. Also, when Junior falls and is trapped in a ravine, he reflects on his estranged relationship with his father.
Lost fans will also appreciate the casting of Terry O'Quinn in season two! However, in the second half of the episode, it gets downright farcical, with Steve and Danno committing a huge number of crimes that would see any other cop court-martialed. Also, Grover and Adam look into the murder of a gambler, and Junior helps his father when they are reminded of his sister's death.
