When you start it everytime after you shut it off it takes two or three cranks to start. I bought the biggest Thule roof cargo box for extended trips or camping and it's insane how much stuff we can pack up top and in the back and the box has zero effect on gas mileage. So now I am inclined to think that the issue is the intake gaskets as they are prone to leak with high mileage. Moreover, the Ford dealers were moving more on price than were the Chevy dealers. The corrosion looked like it was on the cover plate over the frame rails, not so much the frame itself.
Expensive lesson but, lesson learned. It has every bell and whistle and everything is strategically placed in the vehicle. This unit has satellite radio capabilities. There really was no dickering or bickering. I plan on replacing that this weekend. I left the dealer dissappointed.
I trailer a car behind and don't even know it's there. Just all the red flags that I ignored and know better. So I have some new lug nuts on order thanks to another forum where a guy posted a link on Amazon to what seems by review a good set of lug nuts. Also, the 3rd row was surprisingly tight with not much leg room. I think Ford may have finally figured out a way to give the Suburban hallmark at Chevy worthy competition. It turned out to be the flex lines to the calipers. This model has a V8, 5. If I had the time of day with the previous owner I would've taken it to a hobby shop and raised it up and inspected it thouroughly. Mind you it has 175k miles. Anti-lock brakes will help you stop in an emergency.
Please verify any information in question with a dealership sales representative. Nothing extreme, but we did have to drive down roads that were pretty sketch for a normal family vehicle. I thought my only option was a Suburban or Yukon. Looked at the new 07' Suburban and while it was a good looking truck, it seemed like there was not enough bang for the buck. So there is that as well And the air suspension compressor is very noisy when it starts.
