The P0301 code on your Ford Ranger is letting you know that it has detected a misfire condition on the cylinder closest to the front of the engine. The thing that you have missed is to check whether the Catalytic Converter is faulty or not. Turn on the engine and let it idle. Something caused all the misfires. They may or may not be tied in together. It is a push pin that slips out of the press holes and will not engage in the grove.
