We believe that since there are so many others with the same problem, they should have honored it. I took it for a test drive, it was as smooth as could be. I am the owner of a 2005 Ford Freestyle with similar problems. Had it towed to a transmission place and they could not even begin to work on it or guarantee any remedy. So in my case, they are not reliable.
Who has that kind of money sitting around? You either buy a used part by itself or another transmission core to rob it from. My car is under warranty and I am taking it to a different Ford Dealer and hoping that it gets fixed and quick. I found out more researching on my own - smells of bad business to me!!! I have been following multiple threads and knew that a new transmission hadn't fixed the problem either. I am a mechanic worked for ford for a couple of years when they sold me this piece of crap. Recommended procedure: use chassis ears to pinpoint the sounds; if the source is within the transaxle, then keep tabs on turbine shaft speed with a scanner. Prior to having the car towed all over two counties, I called Ford Customer Relationship Center numerous times to see if they would repair the transmission.
I have taken great care of my automobile, it looks new. I test drove it, it was as smooth and quiet as could be. After reading so many similar complaints, I have a feeling I am in for a long frustrating road. . I own a 2006 Ford Freestyle with 59,454 miles on it. I woulg like to be added to class action suite. Please include me in the lawsuit.
I couldn't drive faster that 40 mph, so I pulled over on a level surface turned the vehicle off and waited about two minutes then turned it on again. Called back my Customer Service Rep and she said take it to another dealer out of town. My family and several friends work ed for Ford so I have always bought Ford made vehicles. I had some work done on it a couple months ago at a Ford Dealer in St. My truck started making a loud noise in March 2013 and we figured out ourselves that it was a wheelbearing in the front. Just had the throttle body cleaned and computer reset yesterday.
I talked to dealer about it. On March 23 my family and I were left stranded for hours because of transmission problems. It sad that you have all of these people with the same issues and there is no one for us to turn to for help. This is our only means of transportation and I owe over double of what it is worth. I have never had an issue like this. Charging systems light stays on now. How do I do that. It was brought in again and we were told that there were transmission codes and we needed a new transmission. Also, I read something about cooling lines that have to be disconnected.
I was 2 hours away from home, on my way back from visiting my daughter in college and, suddenly, my car starts to make this noise like a small airplane. I have been a Ford owner my entire life, and never been so upset as I am now. My husband and I purchased a 2007 Freestyle, new, from a dealer. I plan to call every Monday. Rebuilt components quality can vary widely and many rebuilt products come with only a short term warranty. The service advisor told my sister-in-law when she went to pay the diagnostic fee, that he thought my Mom was going to let him replace the transmission not at her cost, when it's a Ford isuue.

The code then said camshaft sensor bad, I replaced it an the transmission started to whine and not shift properly. We are going through this problem right now with our 2007 Ford Freestyle. Purchased 2006 Freestyle from dealer with extended 100,000 mi warranty. One month ago warning light appeared. It kept surging forward and backward on it's own as well.
