Personally I believe they should just connect the lights to the ignition switch such that anytime the engine is running the headlights, taillights, and sidelights are all on. When you change the daytime running light on your Corolla, it is important not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers because the oil from your fingertips will cause that part of the bulb to burn hotter, which significantly shortens the life of the bulb. Take a screwdriver and pry up the black one jus … t enough so that you can unplug the it. On some cars, if the knob is turned all the way one way or the other, it will turn on the dome light.
