On back checking i noticed Utorrent had sparked into life, so I have now unchecked the Randomize button for the time being. At least in my case. I am also able to use Transmission on my mac with no issues. I have uninstalled, deleted and re installed utorrrent. Hope this will be of assistance.
What I have figured out here recently, and hence solved my issues, was within the modem configuration its self. When I got this computer last week, I uploaded utorrent and it worked fine, but then after various updates I don't know what was updating it stopped again. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows why this happens? That's it, that's what I did if it doesnt work for you, then sorry. Hopefully we are narrowing it down! I did upgrade to Utorrent plus and thought maybe I had to change something, but nope, it worked fine with their connection. I have been using utorrent for years now with no issues, but starting out of the blue yesterday. I have uninstalled and re installed. Thanks in advance for your help, Radj. Kind regards Hi I was connecting to the Sirius server and it was having that issue for several days. The only way to fix the problem is to unplug the modem reset it, and plug it back in. I have no idea why, but I hope this information is able to help someone. The speed test indicates the firewall etc is working fine. I am on Comcast, but up until a couple of days ago, things were fine.
In a sense that was my connection issue. I basically know nothing about wireless, networks, or ports and am completely new to torrent use, so if anyone is able to help me I'd really appreciate it, and I'll apologize in advance if I don't understand something. It is not developed anymore, if you're looking for a free and open source office suite you might like LibreOffice. I have the free version of avast! All other connections seem to work. I have exactly the same problem as above and cannot sort it.
I also made sure to add uTorrent to the exceptions list in Windows Firewall. I have Norton firewall but the settings have always been the same and always worked, however I have tried changing these and changing back. I've even tried loading an older version but that doesn't work either. I have read elsewhere that there should be some kind of indicator, but I do not have one there, it's only the two indicators on the bottom. Please read over the rules before contributing. Not a thing on my end.
I am not computer illiterate but that is above my pay grade. I also looked for any traces of previous anti-virusprograms. So I put the next oldest one in and rebooted, now Utorrent works fine. Welcome to the torrents subreddit. It was working previously at this hotel, but they may have messed with their router settings or something because it never works properly now.
I am running the free version. I'm guessing that's normal, but in case it's not, that is what happened. Can someone please help and explain a solution in easy to understand terms. They can sometimes interfere with torrent clients. Also had a few security updates installed through windows on the 9th of Oct.

We are a thriving community dedicated to helping users old and new understand and use torrents. Now, I make sure I shut down the torrent client first, then shut the computer down. Jenna After some research, I seem to have found the answer to my problem. And just to test to make sure it wasn't on my end, I have downloaded Vuze and it connects right away.
Ive seen the posts online about people going crazy trying to fix this problem and nobody seemed to have any answers. So besides steam, nothing has updated itself on my computer since I last got bittorrent working. Not sure what to make of it, but now Utorrent is waiting to log on. . Like I said this just started yesterday out of the blue. The problem persists even when I disable my windows firewall and uninstall avast! All my torrents started and finished, but now I'm back to waiting to login. Then exit uTorrent and undo whatever you did with Windows firewall and restart uTorrent.
