If the engine idles faster with host intact, but slower with the hose plugged, it indicates a leak.

The stock box is annoying but apparently not as bad as I thought, my motor is moderately tuned by race standards so I can get away with it.
A12 is a Datsun engine. The manufacturer has provided a laboratory test report, included with the pump, comparing flow, pressure etc. I'd have to research it a bit to find the numbers. Sealed in Factory packages you get the pistons, pins, Hastings rings and the cir clips for the pins. After that match the manifold and gasket to the head. It's likely you can solve most problems without spending money replacing any parts. A significant refundable core charge is made at time of sales.
Carburetor is a device that blends air and fuel for an internal combustion engine. Take off air cleaner lid and confirm the choke is fully open before proceeding. The closer to 150 hp the less streetable it will be. This part number contains the individual piece count, from the Nissan parts list included with their set, that Nissan chose to supply for the R16 motor in their R16 full gasket set. If it moves stiffly or not at all, the carb will only work on its primary barrel! This will give you the same displacement as an A14. Cores must be re-buildable without significant wear on the lobes, broken lobes, gauling or grooved bearing surfaces or worn fuel pump lobe eccentric. Move this lever up with your finger, and it should drop back down.
