I have sound from the speakers, but not from the headphones. My pc specs and problem below. This happens every once every 20-40 minutes, with no pattern or any trigger that I've been able to find. I thought ok, I will input my microphone I have one , but this laptop only has 1 connector. Feel free to report back if further assistance is needed. I checked all forums, tried everything still not working.

On Windows 7 I had a Audio Control panel that popped up and detected the headphones. In fact, the microphone on my headset functions perfectly when plugged in, but the headphones themselves are outputting no sound. I ran various mp3 and. I tested the headphones on other computers and devices, and they work. I think ensuring it's completely uninstalled would certainly be a start to trying to fix the problem but I don't know how to do this and don't want to start deleting files unless I'm sure I know what I'm doing. Update history states the audio device update was successful. The utility has been repeatedly tested and has shown excellent results. I had sound problems after upgrading my 420s from Win 7 to 10. I have sound from the speakers, but not from the headphones. For future reference, if I guess wrong on the previous question, would a restore point fix it? It was a bit of a pain, but it worked. If so you then need to protect that from being overwritten by Windows. Sound does not output through headphones as it should.
I have a Lenovo G510 running windows 8. I unplugged my headphones, plugged them in again. Today i bought Lenovo IdeaPad G50-70. Any other suggestions gratefully received. I have tried 'installing' audio driver with the default windows 10 audio driver instead of the realtek one. You have to see which model you have. Windows will likely block the driver as being digitally unsigned, but you might get lucky. Uninstall the driver package in Programs and features, again.
