Hell, as depicted in this version, the prince might actually be the one truly swept off his feet, as he is just as smitten by Ella as she is by him, and we might even spend more screen-time with him pining over her than the other way around. Founded in April 2006, High-Def Digest is the ultimate guide for High-Def enthusiasts who demand only the best that money can buy. The video and audio quality is excellent. I think Ella as a character is a good role model. The teeth of disk holder are undamaged.
I definitely recommend buying this movie even if you don't have kids. Through its themes of kindness and courage, the movie offers a timeless story about love overcoming cruelty. Marked by lively whimsy and layered design work, the mix effortlessly brings the movie's fairy tale world to life. It evokes Burton's Alice in Wonderland in a movie that takes great pains to sidestep the pitfalls of Alice in Wonderland. I also ask that payment be received within 3 days of auction closing unless you contact me first.
For the week that ended on September 27th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Pitch Perfect 2 was at the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. Supplements are a little light, but there are some solid insights in the included featurettes, and the 'Frozen' short film is very entertaining. Cinderella exceeded my expectations, and apparently the expectations of a great many skeptics who were worried what Disney and Branagh might do with their beloved classic. It would appear they can't do much wrong in that arena. This is Like new with no scratches on the disc. I would recommend this to a friend I'm a big fan of Disney, especially Disney classics.
Add a royal ball, a Fairy Godmother Helena Bonham-Carter and a glass slipper, and suddenly — magic becomes reality! This film is very detailed and precious. But I was pleasantly surprised. Better still, significant artifacting, ringing, banding and aliasing are nowhere to be found. It's not necessary to download those files. It flows much more naturally as a result, enough so that the film's slightly longer running time 105 minutes doesn't feel as padded as you'd expect. Presented in its original 2.
Key sounds, like exploding fireworks and a twirling magical wand offer some particularly immersive moments, and a chase scene brings some aggressive low frequencies into the mix as well. Also there's a bonus feature about the ballroom scene which made me realize how much work they put into these scenes. There aren't many special features unfortunately -- a commentary or more extensive behind the scenes documentaries would have gone a long way -- but the film is strong enough to hold its own. Bonham-Carter doesn't appear again, or take over the film a la Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter. I would recommend this to a friend The original Cinderella is something I am familiar with since childhood. Cate Blanchett is especially divine in her costume getups.
Written and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, it debuted ahead of Cinderella in early 2015. Branagh and Weitz's Ella isn't a hero or warrior princess in the traditional sense, but a hero perfect for little girls who don't fire bows from horseback, mount rebellions, save kingdoms or live particularly extraordinary lives. Keen to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother Lady Tremaine and her daughters Anastasia and Drizella into the family home. Some of the movements and lines were over-exaggerated and it made it a little cheesy. There are also short snippet images for Hero 6, Monster Inc. Preference is just that, though.
. And then there is the dashing stranger she meets in the woods. Unaware that he is really a prince, Ella finally feels she has met a kindred spirit. With that in mind, the narrative remains remarkably similar to previous incarnations of the story and the script hits all of the well-known beats without any notable deviations. Ella is a kind and courageous girl who cares about everyone and everything.
They are so into their characters that they seem real. The video game instructions and box are included. Cinderella isn't teeming with low-end opportunities, but it hardly matters, especially with such an enveloping soundfield in which to immerse oneself. There are a few distractions, though I suspect most viewers will be far more forgiving. And only Disney could pull it off.
