I've been doing some research online about this and haven't found much except that Dell can't connect to hotspots that have special characters such as apostrophes. I purchased 3 L520s this week as gifts, and upgraded them to 8. For some reason, sometimes they are able to connect long enough to get to 1 website but then lose connection after attempting to go to another website. It definitely has to do with the Asus, just not sure what. But a week later, it can't locate any hotspots on any iPhones.
Hi, I recently wiped and reloaded my Dell laptop E5510 and upgraded from win 7 to win 8. And then I found the following solution and it saved it all. Have you used the hotspot with that computer using a different hotspot password? I had the same problem with three different Windows 8. Thus, it could see the signal, but could not connect. I've noticed that while it's trying to connect, the wireless adapter will briefly switch to Disabled. I had the same issue with two laptops running Windows 10.
Or something else from asus or like an intel Pro wireless software? I tried everything in the posts, several times, without success, since I'm not sure what parameters to provide. I tried to unistall and reinstall the wireless adapter but still won't work. Not entirely sure about this but you may need to install and run Bonjour service. It just needs to fulfil some prerequisites. If you are facing frequent disconnects from Wifi network, I also wrote a solution for this.
Any other windows updates that might be needed? Having a similar issues with someone out in the field who has a Lenovo Helix and an iPhone 6. Turn off your Bluetooth and then try connecting again. It's not a driver issue with the phone if the phone is not connected physically to the computer. Then I had the same issue. I am assuming when Asus had me uninstall and try again it updated the drivers.
