Don-Patch is another major character that competes with him for screen time and lines. The reason I did this is because the show heavily relies on Japanese pop culture and puns, something that's basically untranslatable and the average non-Japanese-born-and-raised viewer is not going to fully understand. My brother how ever he loved it, but my brother doesn't like to focus on anything. Speaking of the characters, they're all awful, just awful. The Bald Empire, led by Emperor Baldy Bald, will have to go through Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, who is determined to put a stop to them once and for all, if they plan to succeed.
The strange creatures are really sloppy character designs, and the animation is reused a lot. Bo-bobo is on the exciting, gag-filled quest in which they were using his hair as weapon purpose in many locales to fight the forces of the Maruchange Empire as he gains other allies along the way. They definitely change jokes, but don't let that dissuade you; what the dub lacks in Japanese puns, it makes up for in dialogue that flows so well with the scene, you might be surprised it wasn't fan-dubbed. Bobobo is a niche anime to watch purely as a comedy and nothing else. Maybe they were high, maybe drunk. Richard Epcar was just dandy with his Impression of Elvis as the titular character, along with Kirk Thornton as Don Patch and the narration done by Michael McConnohie.
What goes into the brain is what comes out. Manzai doesn't have to have a main plot or buildup to be funny. I swear the show bypasses Dragon Ball in terms of its cast, but I'm probably over-exaggerating because there's quite a number of characters that last for an episode or two. You stop laughing because of how ridiculous it is--you don't even see it as nonsensical anymore. Music: Theme songs which were in the opening and as well in the ending of the series of Bo-bobo.
By using his nose hair as a fighting tool against the Hair Hunters, Bo-bobo demonstrates acknowledging your faults and turning them into advantages. The fourth wall in the show was well handled, including the fact it had the characters realized that Episode 76 was the final episode, while it ended on a cliffhanger. Not that it's a bad thing. The entire show's a parody of Fist of the North Star anyway, although I've yet to really watch it for myself, so that's probably my problem. I'm actually kind of angry that a show as niche as Bobobo is able to get the perfect dub, while Gintama gets a mediocre one.
This show nails it on the head, the story didn't really click or really follow a path. All in all, a must watch for those who truly want something hilarious, ridiculously slapstick, and just plain awesome to cheer one up. There is no excuse for it to fail like it did the entire run. It never ceases to disappoint. The anime was dubbed by Phuuz Entertainment Inc. I'm not saying that I could write better jokes, but this doesn't deserve anything above a 7.
Richard Epcar is the titular character, and he was pretty much Myotismon while channeling Etemon, which was the best thing I could've asked for. That is the moment you stop being a regular viewer. I like how every episode was different from the next. The original manga story which was ended in the year 2005, and in the year January 2006 a sequel manga replaced it in the Weekly Shonen Jump, now it is entitled ShinsetsuBobobo-bo-bobo which is about True Theory: Bobobo-bo-Bo-bobo which finally ended in July 2007. Overall 8 Story 1 Animation 7 Sound 6 Character 8 Enjoyment 9 Now I just had to write this because reading all the other reviews seems to give the complete wrong idea on this anime. The only strength this show has that I can mention without grasping at straws is that it is somewhat 'creative'.
I'm cutting down the road Burn up fighter!! It has a poor attempt to showcase Japan's bread-and-butter of comedy, Manzai. Because thats how its suppose to be. Just don't binge-watch this show. Dozens of villains exist; most are piddly in more ways than one, largely existing as fuel for the comedy as their over-the-top skills are overcome in absurd ways. Bo-bobo doesn't care, but at least the laughter isn't canned like the show was. Personally, I would suggest to skip the first half of the entire anime or at least the first 10-25 episodes if you're coming in to see the show at its best, though the first episode is perhaps somewhat obligatory as a slight - introduction - of sorts.
The only other shounen anime I can think of more weird-looking than Bo-bobo are Zatch Bell and One Piece, but that was at least from a glance. Overall 9 Story 7 Animation 6 Sound 6 Character 8 Enjoyment 8 Here is what bobobo is. The first three games were released to the prior to the release of the anime. The voice actors were very stellar for their roles. Bobobo sounds like a black man but yet looks more like a disco man. Don't get me started the creativity in each was entirely amazing.
