Price 1 Customer Type free Path 0 Is New? Happy Birthday a little late. There were funny parts dotted around throughout the film but it felt like you kept waiting and waiting for something to happen to give the film some sort of edge, right up to the part when it ended. Price 1 Customer Type free Path 0 Is New? God Bless America and God Bless Blue Mountain State! But the rest of the plot went bongos. Real life danger, not 'dangerous' to some cult-like morals that you read in a magazine or heard from 'so and so's' older sister when you were a teenager. Anonymous As a woman, I completely disagree with your analysis of the show and further you provide minimal evidence to your accusations of the show.
It's not perfect but it's better than we could've hoped for, waaaaay more graphic than Spike would allow language, full frontal sloots and drug use galore!!! The whole idea was great and there was so much character potential. Ryznar March 23, 2010 2010-03-23 0. But the new school dean has another idea: selling the goat house so that the football team will concentrate on the field. Half the time, the females are the ones actually using the guys, not vice-versa. Price 1 Customer Type free Path 0 Is New? This Movie sucked on every single level I have ever conceived for a movie to suck on.
Obviously, it's a pretty absurd version of college life, and I obviously have no real point of reference here, but it seems to me that big-time college athletes have it pretty great. On the other hand, Friday Night Lights is the shit. So, I'll just wish you all the happy things in life! Unlike most movies based on shows, this movie raises the stakes for the characters and does stuff that you couldn't pull of on Spike. There was very little explanation of what happened after the finale of the show, it just kind of jumped in. Him tracing his drawing of Thadland is genius.
Each player struggles with being a man in a world where people both baby them and treat them like kings. All of the freshmen must engage in questionable hazing rituals. This genre is not new, even within the very obvious contrast of college football movies. This causes other players to follow suit. Okay he didn't seem sober but not stupid either. Anonymous Your argument presupposes that the show must either be about the debauchery of college students or about football.
The coach's wife has to struggle with the town's expectations of her and her own expectations, and she's a freaking boss. Would have really liked to see more of a story line with the development of the characters going forward rather than just over the top drugs and partying the entire time. This movie is annoying because it has no rhythm, It's like you are on drugs yourself. In addition I was glad to see most of the side characters Donny, Harmon, Larry, etc getting a respectable amount of well deserved screen time. Thad Castle is an amazing character.
They eventually resort to providing sexual favors for the professor's 83-year-old mother, played by , to avoid failing off the team. Very small amounts of the plot had anything to do with football at all. Yes, there is decent amount of nudity but it's equal among men and women - Thad is probably shirtless just as often as women are scantily clad. They bring back everyone and as a fan, it was great to see everyone again they even bring back Shilo. Also, this movie is so unpredictable. As for the drinking and antics I think they didn't do it right, the film was basically one giant party which made it feel like they didn't actually accomplish anything throughout the whole film. Some people might have called it offensive but it was meant as a parody of college football and the excess around it.
I would have been okay with Dick-Dawg leaving him there for dead. Because of its R-rating most scenes are more over the top than usual which I personally didn't have an issue with. But those of Craig Shilo and Radon Randell are a little underwhelming, especially Radon because he just seems to show up without set up and it would've been interesting to see what the two have been up to since we last saw them. Characters go off character and the movie stop feeling like the series and it becomes almost boring, but it's still enjoyable. Most of the really funny parts to me revolved around Thad and his dialogue.
While it's not season 4, it's something better: a film adaptation of the television show. It seems to be a fairly accurate portrayal of life as a college athlete. The show is certainly not about women, but the female characters are more than mere decorations. But it's definitely not anything fantastic. As of November 30, 2011, a total of 39 episodes have been shown. That however is not an excuse for my actions.
Thad was always the funniest character in the show and the movie wisely centres around him the law of diminishing returns applies to the jokes but Alan Ritchson still does a great job. It's fine that you don't understand the show, or if it wasn't your cup of tea. These guys were willing to go to any and all lengths just to get a laugh. He is resurrected as Mr. .
The show was incredibly funny, and I was expecting something more like the show in this. Not really sure why she disappeared in Season 3, but I was glad she was back. I don't agree with reviews saying it's completely horrible. Randall seemed way different and Thad just somehow came off as too pathetic. This movie felt like the cast had a big party and got some videos of some awful one liners.
