The delightfully ludicrous ending of Evil Dead 2 seemed impossible to follow up, with our protagonist Bruce Campbell, of course having opened a portal to send the demons back to their time, centuries ago, but accidentally getting sucked in with them. Every possible thing that could be discussed about the genesis, production, post-production, and reception of Army of Darkness is covered. I would recommend this to a friend I've always loved this series and have enjoyed watching it over the years, although I have to admit, I've only ever seen the theatrical cut. One thing about the movie ,it is not part of the Ash vs. The film was co-financed by Dino De Laurentiis in 1992 and released by Universal Pictures theatrically in 1993. Its fun, but…what if we never saw a continuation to this? The film finally progresses this story far away from the cabin. But it's still splotchier, more contrast-y, over saturated and just less natural looking overall than the fresh scan of the international cut.
