Meanwhile Amber is stunning as redheaded Mera. It is a stunning film in terms of the undersea beauty portrayed, a literal riot of colour across the screen. Well, there is not that much to say really. Especially Jason Momoa as Aquaman. I don't know where the hype for this film comes from, because it can't be from the content.
Pretty straightforward and not too convoluted. I mean his time-to-kick-some-ass-stare was just so…evil. Do you remember the Disney's the Sword in the Stone? The good points of this film fall mostly on the visuals. Did you spotted the dinosaurs at Jurasic Park? Not only does this adventure compel him to come to terms with his real identity, but it also forces him to discover whether he is entirely worthy of fulfilling his own destiny: becoming a king. What's with the 10 out of 10 reviews? Would personally recommend you give it a go.
During the late 1950s and 1960s superhero-revival period known as the Silver Age, he was a founding member of the Justice League of America. It's really worth the 2 hours of watching it as the pacing is really good. I would never watch this movie again. They are pretty awesome throughout the movie and, as I wrote above, a lot of the time they are also beautiful. And oh please, the songs used are really good plus the visuals are really good. As the rightful successor to the throne, he must tangle with his brother Orm Patrick Wilson to save the surface world from destruction.
The main thing missing from the film is charm and simplicity, sure Momoa just about saves the day and I think he can develop Aquaman into a loved character, and the film is a step in the right direction. Movie : Downloads : 26095 Language : English tag : ,,, Genres : ,,,,, Release date : 2018 Summary : The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king. Not only does this adventure compel him to come to terms with his real identity, but it also forces him to discover whether he is entirely worthy of fulfilling his own destiny: becoming a king. Orm was lacking a bit in the bad guy charisma department but Black Manta was oozing despicable bad bad bad asshole from the first scene to the last. A lot of the underwater scenes are very pleasing on the eye indeed.
If you have any common sense, the bad dialogue and blatant rip off of every sci-fi and fantasy movie cliche will drive you crazy. The dialogue and characters in this movie are often ridiculous in the least entertaining way possible. Standing in his way is Arthur Curry, Orm's half-human, half-Atlantean brother and true heir to the throne. The female characters only seem to exist to be Aquaman's conscience because he can't think for himself, as he's boring , they have no flaws or vices in other words no depth. The one gripe I have about the movie is the totally unnecessary green preaching crap.
It is indeed a good superhero and special effects extravaganza. The ending could have been done better but it seems that would have made the movie's runtime longer. A superhero movie should be entertaining, not preaching. I would also say that action is pretty positive, the combat is intense and epic. Synopsis Arthur Curry, half human half from Atlantis, goes on a trip of a lifetime. If I want that shit I can turn on the news.
Modern comic book depictions have attempted to reconcile these various aspects of his public perception, casting Aquaman as serious and brooding, saddled with an ill reputation, and struggling to find a true role and purpose beyond his public side as a deposed king and a fallen hero. Storywise, well it is a superhero movie after all so if you expect the story to be profound, logical and watertight you should lay off those mushrooms or whatever you are smoking. Some of the hype around it is perhaps a bit too much though. There are lots of surprisingly good underwater battle scenes and oh my that battle with Black Manta kills it. Momoa carries the film despite being surrounded by one dimensional characters with digitally botoxed faces.
There are lots of surprisingly good underwater battle scenes and oh my that battle with Black Manta kills it. It's really worth the 2 hours of watching it as the pacing is really good. But 10 out of 10 it most certainly isn't. The movie is very straightforward and you quickly get excited to know what's to come next after the first act. I only missed a Smeagol-like scene with the trident.
Not only does this adventure compel him to come to terms with his real identity, but it also forces him to discover whether he is entirely worthy of fulfilling his own destiny: becoming a king. The Atlantis guards are Power Rangers, the underwater fighter jets are from Star Wars, the battle with other underwater kingdoms looks like a battle from the Lord of the Rings, some personages are a version of the Street Sharks, even Godzila had a resurrection moment!. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in More Fun Comics 73 November 1941. Arthur Curry, half human half from Atlantis, goes on a trip of a lifetime. In addition it is quite beautiful. The bad guys were not too bad either. It's certainly not without heart, but it is still more spectacle than substance.
