Soon after arriving in his house, Alex begins to feel sick and later finds out that he has chicken pox. What did you do to my room? Meanwhile, Alex Pruitt, an 8-year old smart kid played by Alex D. Kevin, missing his own family, advises Marley to make things right with his own family. Linz, is shoveling the snow from Mrs Hess' yard. Fortunately, the booby traps work and are able to subdue the criminals, which enable the police to respond just in time. He decides to take the situation into his own hands.
Alex immediately calls the police to respond. Accidentally, the toy car was switched with the same toy that was owned by Mrs Hess who just arrived in San Francisco. He then finds the four criminals and quickly becomes suspicious of their motives. After an argument with his older brother Buzz Devin Ratray , Kevin finds himself published and sent to sleep in the third floor bedroom. Frantically trying to get a flight home, Kate tries to get a flight home to her son, only to find that all the flights were sold out, she makes it back to the United States, only to find that she cannot get back to Chicago. In outright chaos, the McCallister family prepares to spend Christmas with extended family in Paris.
Kevin is then caught by Marv and Harry. The group separates to cover each house in the neighborhood. Nobody ever said being eight years old was easy, especially when you are a middle child in a very large family. On Christmas Eve, Kevin overhears Harry and Marv's plan to break into his home. The story begins with a group of internationally wanted crooks named Peter, Alice, Button, and Earl who've just stolen a military chip designed to cloak missiles. Unfortunately, the tape was confiscated by one of the thieves, leaving Alex no proof to support his claims. Is Kevin, the man of the house, prepared to defend his castle? With Alex left alone, he decides to do some sightseeing at the attic. Running a muck through the house, as many unsupervised eight year old boys would do, Kevin raids Buzz's room, watches 'R' rated movies, eats junk food, and jumps on the beds. Moments later, the entire family arrives home.
The Wet Bandits are arrested for their menacing behavior. In a rush to make their flight, the family miscounts, and no one notices that Kevin has been left behind. Fearful of The Wet Bandits, and not wanting them to realize that he was home alone, Kevin stages the house with music, puppets and more to make it look like a party was going on. Instead, the film stars Alex D. The 4 thieves quickly track where the chip is and find it in Chicago where the Mrs Hess lives. However, in this sequel, the lead actor is no longer played by Macaulay Culkin, who played both Home Alone 1 and 2.
He then installs a variety of booby traps within the premises to protect him and the chip from being caught. Under those circumstances, it is not before long that the fearful robbers will knock at Kevin's door, keen on cleaning out the empty residence. Kevin escapes to a neighbors home, calls 911, and believes that he is now safe. Unaware that his wish was about to come true, a power outage during the night causes the alarm clocks to reset and the family to oversleep. But before the police arrive, the group of bandits flee the scene, leading the police to think that Alex is playing a prank. Stan and Molly refuse and go to school.
The two speak, and Kevin learns that his neighbor is a nice man, estranged from his family. All of a sudden, Kevin hears his mother calling for him, he runs downstairs into her arms. Kevin wakes up and is confused, yet thrilled that his wish came true. Confused, as they were certain the McCallisters were on vacation, The Wet Bandits quickly drove away. Later, Alex finds the criminals again scouting the neighborhood. With his parents already in France, much to his delight, young Kevin finally has the house for his own to indulge himself in all the guilty pleasures he was denied--unbeknownst to him; however--that a criminal duo of not-so-capable burglars is preying on the neighbourhood's vacant houses. .
