I would say the transmission is slipping alot. I declined the repair and will be trading my brand new 68k truck in for a different brand. The pickup does not have all wheel anti lock brakes. Track bar 3 times now. A properly working solenoid should return a reading of between 20 — 30 ohms.
I have taken it to shops to have it diagnosed and keep getting a runaround. Never hauled or towed anything more than 2 people. Used 2qts of oil doing break-in, continued to smoke at startup, Gets 8mpg. It left me stranded on the side of the road with a truck load of hunting gear. This truck are for guys with some mechanical understanding.

Have installed a transmission cooler but condition, slight odor and spilling continued. The transmission started slipping gears again. Check the filter tube and O-ring, too. Also, the price was right for what we could afford at the time. Each time I bring the Ram to shop I been told it cannot be repaired because the part for the recall is not available.
Hand foot brake issues at 111k. Small fluid leaks and faulty gears may cost several hundred dollars. Transmission functions fine but dealer says the torque convert is slipping at lock up causing a no-lockup slippage condition after 8 seconds. He was unable to remove the torque converter at all. . The wife was not happy so while they work on it which was under warranty we stay in Vegas for four extra days.
They took it to dickinson Dodge 910 864-2411 and they could not get it to duplicate. Meanwhile the Ram make a terrible noise after the gear jumps out on low speed, intersections or red lights and no one will touch it to see what the problem is because of the recall. I think it was in lockup and when I slammed on the brakes the lock up converter did not have time to disengage when the tires stopped when I braked. Most of the problems lead to excessive noise during shifts, often described as a clunking sound. This also results in the cruise function to not cancel when brakes are applied.
The dealer in annapolis rebuilt the transmission - they claimed the torque converter failed. The windshield needs to be replaced because it is cracked as well. Dodge customer service said no warranty if vehicle kept outdoors. Can't use horn to beep. We have decided to order the repair parts and have a qualified outside tech repair the truck properly at our expense. A child climbed into vehcile and moved the gear shift and the vehicle rolled. Make sure the entire surface is sealed to cover because deteriation will continue and it will collaps e into lower dashboard area.
