I love the room it has in the bed of the truck. We'll put one in and after only an hour of listening it'll skip and when we take it out it'll be very scratched. Aesthetics wise, this truck hits it right on the nail. After the electrical issues with this car the transmission blew, which was a very expense repair. I would not be surprised to see it go past 200,000 miles. Even with all the dents, scratches, rust, and faded paint, it still looks good.
The most vexing issue was with intermittent starts. The most vexing issue was with intermittent starts. I purchased the car used, so I had little to go on for the history of maintenance. The cockpit style dashboard is easy to use and good looking. It's really fun to drive. To sum it all up, it is a good reliable truck, way better then the old Dodge I used to truck around in, and If you were going to buy a mid-sized truck, I would definately suggest the chevy S-10 of any year. We loaded up the back.
I like that it was only a 4 cylinder, which I was hoping would save on gas mileage. The handle on the passengers side makes getting in and out and pulling the seat forward easy. These models come only with a 4. Our complete experienced staff will help you make your next vehicle purchase your best. Outside, this little duallie rules the road. Overall I like Chevy trucks and will continue to do so because of the quality they have.
But the overall feel is showroom neat and highly civilized, except for the rumble from the dual pipes. Sorry, I've been too negative. With the 4 wheel drive, it was no problem. I purchased the car used, so I had little to go on for the history of maintenance. Needless to say I bought someone else's problems.
It's been hit from the front twice, had a tree fall on it it was in the driveway and my uncle dropped a tree the wrong way. I do love the way it handles when you drive it. So it's hard for me to recommend this vehicle to someone else unless they are handy and can fix all the issues themselves. General Motors has announced that S-10 production will continue unchanged into 2005, but only in Crew Cab form. Not long after I purchased the car I ran into all sorts of problems.
I have had the drive shaft repaired and wish they could have built this truck with a one piece drive shaft instead of a two piece. Thanks for looking and have a great day-Calls from 8am till 8pm. Like all chevy's, it isn't too great cosmetically, but mechanicly it holds up pretty darn well. I love the stick shift. I also have endured little oil leaks from the oil pan but nothing major.
Sometimes I would feel like it drop an eight a tank of gas just starting it. Working on the truck yourself can be a pain. You only have to remove a few Phillips head screws in order to access the engine air filter. It is plenty wide to also accommodate hauling lawn mowers and bikes. The only problems have been minor until now. I am hoping to keep this truck forever.
It took repeated trips to service shop and many needless repairs before we discovered it was in issue with the starter coils. We once had to drive through about a foot and a half of snow to get home. An increased-capacity suspension is available. We loaded up the back. I drove it a few times, and I could barely see over the dashboard I'm 5'1. This requires you to crawl underneath the vehicle, and use tools you may not have readily available for a repair.
I like that it was only a 4 cylinder, which I was hoping would save on gas mileage. My wife and I like to garden. Backing up the truck's V-8 is a 4L60-E four-speed automatic, good for repeated 7-second 0-60 times. Now I have to replace the fuel pump. But other than the short thing, I love how it handles, and I love the column shifter.
But it's great for only two people. It is plenty wide to also accommodate hauling lawn mowers and bikes. He just made it to 162,000 miles, and hasn't had any major problems yet. On the day we went it had rained a day or two before so the compost was really wet and heavy. My wife and I like to garden.
