I feel like for the trim level I recieved, and getting a gold warranty added on, its definitely worth the money so far. For the price of this car, you get a lot. So even entertaining the thought of a Subaru was iffy, I did research the Crosstrek in great detail and found it to be good car based on the ratings. The latter works even without the cruise control engaged. Either of the newer models would be a better choice than the used Crosstrek. The engine note doesn't always coincide with acceleration, and power delivery feels bandy at times.

Subaru hasn't adopted Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but I could talk to Siri on my connected iPhone by holding the Crosstrek's voice command button. But where the Element was quirky, inefficient and incapable of much off the asphalt, the Impreza-based Crosstrek is understated, economical and rugged enough to have a little fun. It would blow every 30k miles and it was not cheap to replace.
Subaru is known for outdoorsy all-wheel-drive cars and crossovers, and if you're okay with a lack of some of the most lavish features and trims, the basic Crosstrek will suit you well. It was everything I wanted, sporty, fun color hyper blue , reliable and amazing as always all wheel drive. The rearview camera is also standard, and the Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid Limited model—to give it its full name—adds the same suite of Limited options as on gasoline models, plus a power moonroof. And it comes in some of its own colors. It is by far the nicest model Subaru on the road today. With its big front brakes, it will stop quickly, but it also nose-dives and bounces back upright.

The Crosstrek is basically an Impreza hatchback with a higher ride height, added body cladding, and large wheels that are intended to give it a more rugged look. We still get Subie reliability and go-anywhere all wheel drive, but the Crosstrek is a far more civilized vehicle to drive. Subaru's EyeSight active-safety system is offered on the 2016 Crosstrek in a package on Premium and Limited models.
Despite the lack of a sixth gear and the higher than normal engine speeds, our tester ended the week with a combined fuel economy average of 25 mpg, which is only slightly worse than the advertised combined 26 mpg, and is impressive considering how much time it spent on the trail. The step-up system, included on Premium with EyeSight and Limited models, uses a 7. The acceleration is about the same, which is to say modest. Buying a car is just the beginning of your expenses. Hybrid models get a gloss-black finish for the grille, while the other models get new wheels. This is the first Subaru that my wife and I have ever owned and I am so glad that we decided to purchase this car. The dashboard is topped with a soft-touch surface, however, which brings better first impressions—though we find the material almost sticky in hot or humid climates.
