I definitely get a lot more light with these babies! I bought my second two-pack of these bulbs in January 2017. Requested a refund and thought of taking business elsewhere. Bright enough for the road ahead. . Their engineering is fantastic compared to all manufacturers in the market today. But, as many others have said, the lifespan is ridiculously short. Out of the package they looked very nice.
I had to modify the hole so that the screw goes in flush and does not interfere when sliding into the housing. I always have mine on. We are very happy with our results! I just went through my second two-pack. Pros: Bulbs are super bright 6000K Light weight and compact. They're great while they last. Hope it will last a long time too.
I did have trouble installing them since the small screw that allows you to adjust the tabs on the led would get on the way when trying to install. Customer service was very professional and amazing and highly recommended. I did not replace as a pair. The installation took me less than 30 minutes about 5-7 minutes for some sheet metal customization work--see video and the connections snap in firmly. As far as I know, this means that the low beam element of this lamp is on for about 2 hours every day. Remember, the higher the Kelvin rating of your bulbs, the duller the actual lumen output.
I did not notice any difference on the pass vs driver side on the higher end Phillips bulb. I originally ordered these and received a defective pair. This one is just was bright. Bear in mind our new headlamp assemblies have smooth surfaced lenses as opposed to the fluted factory lenses.
The two bulbs in the first pack both burned out within a year, but I figured that was just an anomaly. These bulbs worked as needed. Aside from that they Go into my headlights with no need of modifications. Our pics aren't very scientific but it gives a. Would give five stars if Lasfit fixes this screw to keep it from getting on the way when installing into headlight. If you really are looking for the brightest light -- meaning more lumens on the road, buy from Philips! The bulbs in the last sentence become duller and duller on the road. I strongly recommend looking for an alternative.
The lights put off a very white light without appearing to be in the blue spectrum or any other color; colors are cool, but they do not penetrate darkness due to their shorter wave length. We've had our '95 Explorer just over a year. The trick to bright fog bulbs is to get the high-powered type that require a fan. These bulbs have a perceived color of 6000K and are rated at 6000 lumens. The manufacturer may blame our cars for that, but so many people can't all be wrong - at least about this. Also I have gotten the same bulbs from a friend but I'm thinking they are older or newer but they are much brighter than this ones I bought even though they are rated at the same lummens.
