I had the same problem throughout the summer and fall of 2015. The Dodge Dart received 5 stars for safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and mostly Good ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. I'm looking at potentially trading in my broken down car for a vehicle that I will have a car note on because Dodge messed up and doesn't want to pay for what they owe. The 2015 model is no different. This car is defective and unpredictable, not only has this car been a financial burden but it has put mine and my child's life in danger and the dealer can not fix the reoccurring problems. I got down the street and my car shut off again while turning onto a busy street. I then received a letter in the mail from Chrysler stating that the hydrolic clutch may be defective and sticking to the floor.
This car is constantly having issues. Based on feedback I've read on other forums, it seems that the manufacturer didn't properly install the cable that the emergency brake is attached too. The clutch would not function until after 5 or so pumps. It the clutch will be all the way to the floor and it still will not shift. The issue has been resolved by my mechanic, but according to him and some research I've done online, this seems exactly like an issue with the Dodge Dart 2013 recall for the same part.
I have to lift it up with my foot and pump it serves times to get it working. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or Kidde customer service service toll-free at 1-855-262-3540, or online at www. This 2015 Dodge dart keeps dying on me! I drive for work and with out my car I can not earn a living. If break down occurs again will be taken to selling dealer and a lemon law claim may be filed as it would be third issue if another occurrence. As we were bringing it in the car went to limp mode as driving.
Does not downshift while stopped. Shortly after replacing the rear breaks and rotors my clutch started slipping and am convinced my breaks sticking contributed to my clutch extra wear. . Tcm was replaced and reprogrammed. T multi air turbo 1. Went to leave and there is no engagement with the stick to the transmission.
My last 3 Dodge Neons over the last 20 years have all been standards and currently all 3 are still on the road with no clutch problems. Cannot believe Chrysler knew there were issues and still just charges you to replace as if it is our fault. The cutch has been getting stuck on the floor when shifting gears. I've seen on numerous online forums that many Dodge Dart owners have been experiencing issues with their emergency brakes as well, in particular, Dodge Dart vehicles with manual transmissions. It is now 2019 and for the past four years the car has been in and out of the shop for transmission issues even after the car was taken in for the transmission control module recall.
Now all the new problems I can't help but think they new the problem and just wanted myou warranty to run out so it wasn't there problem any longer. We drove it to crowfoot Dodge on Monday, August 27. Prolonged brake booster diaphragm exposure to engine oil could cause the diaphragm to fail. Its been recalled, but not on my model. I have owned many vehicles with manual transmissions and have never wore out a clutch or breaks in 30,000 miles!!!!! It then went into limp mode. Well the problem with the transmission was a shift rad that sat on top of the transmission. I replaced the tire but not the sensor.
I have noticed in the past 3 months that the transmission will shudder trying to back up a hill in reverse. Had to have it towed to the dealership who then told me it was the way I was driving my car! Also brought it back because it was rough to shift it into gear. They extended the warranty but it only cover a hose and the labor. By far, however, one of the biggest complaints is the vehicle has been known to suddenly shut off while driving. I took one of their mechanics for a test drive and he agreed it did not shift correctly. The dealer has had it for almost 4 weeks and Chrysler just said tuff luck we only cover them for 12,000 miles.
The transmission occasionally would not go into gear. The shop I took it to this time said the springs in the pressure plate were all broke. Also brought it back to the dealership because the engine was running very loud. I am in the middle of trying to fight with a 3rd party arbitration company right now, which they say is the only way to do anything about it. Specifically, the plaintiffs claim their vehicle began backfiring and turning off at a stoplight, failing to start again. My transmission makes noises and the clutch clatters.
Purchased my car with 3k miles on it. I told him its not my first rodeo that it was the clutch slave cylinder that is bad. The Aero trim is the only Dart available with the 1. They won't take it back, trade it for a non-Aero model that works, or anything. I only have 4300 miles on it.
I purchased a brand new 2015 dodge dart off the lot. Fca notified due to lack of response to recall on tcm that had been over 18 months. In the affected vehicles, the powertrain control module that monitors the engine torque output may be missing a backup layer of software. They don't care to stand behind their products and do not care about the safety concerns that they are causing! Took them 30 days to fix it because the part was on back order! It is completely insane that a car with barely 42000 miles should have the clutch go out on it, especially in that way. I have great disappointment in this car as it is the closes thing to brand new I have ever bought. I downshifted to first and I accelerated and tried shifting to 2nd again.
