While this audio system would have torn apart the previous generation's overly plastic interior, this car, with its soft-touch rubber and leather trim, is a comfortable space to enjoy the music of the V-8 or the sound system.
A five-speed automatic swaps out for a new eight-speed transmission on some versions. The Uconnect Touch system has also been upgraded. The 2012 model year also sees the addition of the 300S trim, which is offered with V-6 or V-8 power. The guy at the service counter was trying to talk me into getting the rear differential reconditioned as well. Performance Pages show a passel of the car's performÂance data on both the navigation screen and gauge cluster. The 300C adds on top of the Limited's standard equipment a V8 engine, automatic wipers, automatic high beams, a rearview camera, the larger infotainment interface, a navigation system with real-time traffic and the Limited's version of the Luxury Group.
There are other additions for 2012. The heads are cast with fine core sand that results in a surface finish that negates the need for port polishing. While the 300 will always be best known for its V8 power, opting for its base 292-horsepower V6 is nothing to be ashamed of. Chrysler's number for this recall is P60. Thanks to the redesign it received last model year, the 2012 Chrysler 300 is a more appealing luxury machine in almost every sense. This car has been about 40,000 miles of joy since being purchased.

Soft-touch plastics abound, and the leather, lo and behold, feels like leather. And, let me say, the importance of this cannot be overstated. The entry-priced 2012 Chrysler 300 sedan is a lot of car for the money, featuring keyless entry and start, a big 8. It's also been rated five stars overall from the federal government, with four stars for frontal impact and a top score in side-impact protection.
