If you are lucky to find the diode it would be a very quick fix but as I stated before, good luck finding it. Took it in, where it worked perfectly. Additionally, while accelerating the vehicle jerked and decelerated suddenly. My understanding of a diode it that positive current flows in the direction of the arrow anode , and negative flow back in the direction of the block cathode. It may be a 2003 wiring and the Kia dealer already repaired the problem from when it was manufactured or maybe it was a later issue.
