Or should I just cut my losses and sell the car before the issue pops up again? The major problem is that they sold it that way yes, but the dealership realized it was their problem and had the guts to do the right thing and repair it. The service rep was pretty cool about it because he agreed the price was crazy but there was no other fluid we can use in it. Roger Yup, I needed a new Key Fob for my '01. Took to a local mechanic and was told a whole new transmission was needed. It blows outside temperature air. Flushed transmission, but this only solved the lock problem. Just wondering, what kind if fluid did the parts store sell you?? Having the differential fluid level checked at each oil change sounds like a good stopgap solution for minor weeping. Was replaced, but came loose again after a few months.

Which I guess is pretty good!! It leaked enough to completely drain the rear diff a few times now and i have been refilling it monthly now. Had to have the rotors replaced. Anyone know where i can get the seals and what the part number is? But that's a major problem! Hopefully this finally fixes it.
My husband did some research on the internet on Vibes with similar problems, changed the transmission fluid himself and problem was solved. Yes I know that is very pricey, but if I have any issues squeeling etc I'm going right back. I can only play the radio -- only ny using the control on the steering wheel! Car was running like a top. I'm upset because how can you even sell a car that has a problem like that!. Find replacement parts and upgrades for your 2009 Pontiac Vibe. Several oil and grease leaks had to be fixed. I just filled it up with gas the night before. Wind noise and tire noise is very loud. Tire leaks continue with new wheels and tires, though less often. Now they have a bulletin that states not to replace, but to use fluid to flush out any possible water that can develop with this axle. The engine would turn over, but it wouldn't start. They checked and said that everything looked fine.

A two piece shaft, u joints and centre bearing were installed with a one year warranty from a supplier in British Columbia. I'm upset because how can you even sell a car that has a problem like that!.
