However, as I began reading through the owners manual my first operational Gen2, with a manual and programming the radio and a few other features, I discovered that this was a Type 1 with backup camera. I hope you can correct it. Not sure how good the Gen2 Nav System is but have used it on my sons 2010 Gen3. Map stays on screen and you just see a banner at the top announcing the call - no way to answer! It bothers me that Apple will not address this issue. I did pair the phone anew with the update. This is a computer with a phone option, not the other way around. I emailed today with a lexus dealer employee, who seemed to spend a lot of time on this and came up with the following workaround. It doesn't even show up on the screen when the car is turned on with his Iphone. I imagine that the setup is similar.
I know voice control used to work because I used it a few times but I think you had to press the button on the phone. After going through many of the steps outlined in several forum questions - steps like forgetting all bluetooth connections on the car, forgetting the pairing on the phone, rebooting the phone, resetting the network settings, it did not help. Before I got out of the driveway I discovered it did have the backup camera. Go into the Prius setups and get the Prius ready to search for Bluetooth pairings. It also has a delay of about ten seconds when connecting to the phone. If I try to make a call from the car display interface, I hear ringing and the pick up, and then no audio.
I often have to try and connect numerous times just to get one friggin' connection. A Toyota Prius equipped with an Entune Head Unit allows your phone to be connected with your vehicle to act as a dedicated interface for your phone while driving. Interested in the Entune system from Toyota? I will have to check this out. My question of all the phones, some allow Transfer single phonebook entry, whereas none allow Transfer Multiple phonebook entry. However, when I pair my wife's phone the car's phone system does not see the device after a few seconds.
A new member from Massachusetts. Closer to the inverter , there is clear plastic bottle filled with red colour solution. If I turn off the car and disconnect bluetooth and use the phone only, it always works. I only belatedly get Hands Free, after making the callee wait several seconds, 5 I see no obvious way to push contact entries to the Prius, and 6 You can't listen to podcasts over the car speaker. What I have to do until Apple fixes it I hope! I had to replace my 12 volt battery a few weeks ago.
I've had my new 2013 Model 3 for a whole week now and I love everything about it except for one thing: The Bluetooth will connect to my phone Galaxy S3 and will play music from it, but it ignores the fact that all of the songs are in different folders. When I make a call, I first hear what sounds like modem squelch. Is there a way to indicate which contacts should be synchronized? And after pairing I've limited it to telephone audio only. ?? My wife has an iPhone which pairs and connects to both cars. If I try to make a call from the phone, I get no audio the car display doesn't even show a call is in progress.
I paired my iPhone 6+ without problems. I hang up my phone, but the screen still shows that it is talking; although, no call is being made. I recently bought the iPhone 6, and had no problems with it, until it came time to pair it to all my bluetooth devices. There isn't any info in the handbook on the car. I tried turning car on-off.
I have been to my Toyota Dealer who sent me back to Verizon store who said reinstall software on phone, which I did No luck. If you have any issues pairing your smartphone to Bluetooth in your Toyota, please feel free to and will be happy to assist you. There should be controls at the bottom of the touch screen but they are grayed out and inaccessible. Not tech savvy enough to understand the implication of that or a possible solve, but maybe someone else can. How important is this feature? Type of phone, phone service and provider etc.
Is there a trick to doing that? The car will provide an access code during the setup. I cannot voice dial in the car. My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything. I have an iPhone 5S and whenever I plug it in to my car it automatically switches to the iPod input and starts playing tracks in alphabetical order, though sometimes it remembers to continue playing whatever I had playing on my phone before. I'll post if I hear anything back.
