Oh yeah- you will have to re-program your radio after disconnecting the battery. Do not try to pry these off. Turn the locking collar counterclockwise to unlock, and remove. This is for headlight adjustment. Relax it's only 3 screws using a 10mm socket driver.
I used a screwdriver, through the loop at the top, to pry it up and back gently and it sprung right off. Re-install the battery for driver's side installation. I can't wait to tackle mine in -20 weather. I suggest that you see how the bulb goes in so it aligns correctly. The bulb can now slip out. Note: Once you get all the junk out of the way the air box on the driver�s side and the radiator overflow on the passenger side you will see a 10 mm bolt right in the middle of the headlight assembly.
Sorry cant go into details on how to do it because I havent done it yet but hey that's the instructions I got on how to do it so maybe it will help you. Once the center plug is up they come right out. That too is bolted to the fender with a 10 mm head bolt. Remember, there's a fragile halogen bulb on the other end. Once the bulb is in position move the metal clip down and toward the driver's side and secure the little ring end to hold the bulb in place. Doing this will make it easy to reinstall the cover. When you can no longer turn the cover, pull it out.
The grease from your fingers will reduce the life of the bulb, if not damage it immediately. Instead there is a wire holder keeping the bulb in place. Carefully insert new assembly into its hole, trying not to touch anything with the bulb part. The projectors I'm not sure, but I am doing them today. I do suggest that after you get the bulbs in and are sure that the round covers are in place correctly as I mentioned, that was the biggest problem I had to turn the lights on and make sure they work.
Well, I didn't get very far, but you need to replace the headlamp bulb, right?? It is just on top of the flasher. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. I do n … ot have the ability to move them side to side though I dont think so anyway. No there is no second screw fixing it, as suggested by some people. Press down on the wiring plug clamp until it clicks. When you can no longer turn the cover, pull it out.
Next unscrew the plastic ring that surrounds the connector. To install push the push pin in with the center plug up then push the center plug down to secure. After it clicks pull the wiring plug straight back until it clears the socket and lay it aside out of the way. Next, peel off the rubber insulator to access the bulb. You can the simply turn and pull the bulb out. You have to remove the wire holder, and then you can pull out the bulb in its holder. One note: there is another intake path at the bottom of the air box.
Then lift it up, using some extra force if necessary. For the driver's side, it recommends removing the battery to make some room in the 2004 book I would agree, after seeing mine. Press it in the middle and it will click when it … releases, you will feel it. Replacing the air box: 6 Align the air box's two pointed rubber connectors with their holes and push down hard. Re-install the locking collar clockwise, and the electrical connection plug. Raise the hood and disconnect the battery.
Make sure that the air box is properly aligned with it. Try to use the Nissan speaker adapters plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess up the electric system, you ca … n get those from eBay or amazon. Turn it counter clockwise until it is free. It was hinged at the bottom so it didn't go anywhere. I put a mark on the cover before I took it off and then I put another mark on the lamp assembly, aligned with the mark on the cover, after I turned the cover to remove it. Replace the cap so nothing falls in.
