I have driven all the variants, including on the track, and was impressed given the vehicle was a truck — never mind one that was adapted to be sold as a Saab. The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. I owned an evory 6i for 3 years, I got it used with 80k miles on it, had zero issues with it putting another 80k on it, to tow a small camper caravan. I do not sway when turning like in a jeep grand cherokee. The 9-7X is roomy, though, with cargo capacity measuring nearly 40 cubic feet behind the rear seats and just over 80 cubic feet total with the seats down -- slightly above average for this segment.

The 9-7X was produced with three trim levels, namely the 4. That get up and go…that really felt like my 900S…we grinned at each other. Power is good and after turning off the stabilitrack getting the rear to slide is fairly easy and not nearly as scary as it should be in a car this size. Replied back several hours later stating it was still available. It has a lowered and modified suspension. The console-mounted ignition and the cockpit-inspired design are instantly recognizable Saab brand cues, and the faux wood dash accents and contrasting upholstery trim impart an inviting Scandinavian design feel.
More family resemblance becomes evident when you turn the key and large-displacement, American-style power rumbles to life. The instrument fascia and controls lights, wipers, directionals should have been more consistent with other Saabs. We test drove both the 6 and 8 cylinder, and opted for the 8. The Saab 9-7x simply added fuel to the fire. They were only available with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Initial sales are targeted for China, although Swedish customers will also be able to buy new Saabs built in their country right away, too. I'm talking weld the hood shut reliable. The move is the first step on the road toward eventually selling vehicles in China.

That said, if you need a truck to pull a boat or a trailer like the trailer carrying a beautiful Sonett to Swedish Car Day this year , you could do much worse than the 9-7x.
