I would give them 6 stars if I could!!! Not bad though -- considering it's a 10+ year old truck. The vehicle is very, very smooth and quiet on normal roads. In a few minutes Aaron came out and although I wasn't inclined to purchase the truck, he was very helpful with information on the various types and models of the Ford trucks we were interested in. I am currently in -30c weather and so far mine is text book working. I don't see any loose wiring etc. The thing I like the best about my Sport Trac is that I have the versatility of a truck and the seating room of a sedan. That would be a very good thing, except that the Sport Trac is based on the previous-generation Explorer, not the 2003-04 model, so it does not have the current Explorer's all-new chassis with independent rear suspension.
Negative would be that we have had to replace both front and rear sway bars since owning the vehicle. The Explorer Sport Trac is essentially a previous-generation, four-door, five-passenger Explorer with an open, 4-foot, pickup-style cargo box added at the rear. The 4x4 is still not working Only 2wd. I am going to ask the dealership to remedy this by putting on new tires I already purchased outside of them on for free and there are a bunch of parts I need that I want at cost!!!
