The noise only happens when i'm accelerating. You get more life out of the fluid. Clean off the drain and put it back on take time to go to the local parts store and get a rubber gasket for the plug to avoid leaks. I hear whirling and grinding noises coming from my transmission. I dont see how swapping the trans could be that serious if you are handy with cars, and have a good helper and jacks to get it in and out. Repair took a long time because the independent shop would not listen to directions and they left the differential in the locked position. I would assume that both of these are far superior to the Nissan stuff.
