I have driven 3 series for years and I finally went out for the M3. That excellent performance is offset by an estimated fuel economy figure of 94 miles per gallon, though, making this a fast and efficient vehicle. Runs strong and still not to bad on mileage, sure super tight handling makes the ride a little rough but one has to expect that when you buzz around a turn like it wasn't even there. I love it so far, and when I first got it I didn't know how to drive a manual, but I now know and it makes it a very fun car to drive. Its fast, fun, and stylish! The amazing straight 6 engine won engine of the year a number of years in a row.
Only complaint I would have would be maintenance costs are pretty high, expect 2grand or more a year if you want to keep it in good shape. The m3 is built very well and takes a lot of wear. I asked them to double check they could fix the wheels as discussed. My 1st contact was with John Bradley and he was super helpful with info and started our wonderful experience with this company and then he passed us right along to Tony Benjamin who was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the car that we purchased and from there we were closed out by Mike Hanley who hands down was super laid back and made all of the closing processes as less intimidating as possible. I'm going to have to say this is one of the best looking cars on the block.
Top down lot's of fun and lot's of looks makes the cost worthwhile. Well I'd like to say, I have over 50,000 miles on my M3 and I've had no trouble at all. The stitching in the steering wheel being blue and red is a great touch along with the shiny m3 logo in the door sill. Driving anything else is a disappointment. They are clearly benchmark high performance cars yet they can be everyday drivers or race cars. Charging is impressively fast on the i8, with a full charge coming from a 110-volt outlet in under four hours.
If you're looking for an M product, though, you'll remain limited to the 3 and 4 Series. Topaz Blue exterior with gray leather interior - six speed manual trans. Although the seats are not as comfortable as the could be, they are very adjustable. Car Advice seems to feel the same way, claiming the X3-based X4 will share its powertrains with its donor platform, and will eventually spawn an M variant, albeit a few years down the line. I am not just happy, but two or three levels above that! I just put my check in my pocket and bought a real truck the next day. I took the std 6 speed and was completely satisfied. To get such a performance and look for the money is amazing.
The lines along the car really look incredible. With all-wheel drive at its disposal, the total system power sits at 362 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque, and allows the i8 to scamper to 62 miles per hour in just 4. Looks great, is comfortable, plenty of room and goes like stink. I hate being lied to that bad. That's like saying the M3 doesn't make sense because it will cannibalize M5 sales - the logic just doesn't really hold up.
The interior and exterior are sleek and stylish. They called and said yes; so I thought we had a deal. It turns heads at school and I have been impressed with the 25 mpg that I have been getting because its a performance car. Handling-The M3 really hugs the corners and drives like it's on rails. Little things make the inside of the car. Overall it's a great car and I love mine! Hit the gas and this car will throw you back in your seat, no problem, and pull away from just about anything on the road. They told me they had replaced all of the cylinders for the top, and then informed me they had only replaced 2.
Sure, maintenance may be a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Suspension pretty tight but its what you expect from a sporty car like this. On its own, it churns out a respectable 231 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, which is then channeled to the rear wheels by way of a six-speed automatic transmission. The car I purchased was in superior condition and accurately represented by the owner. It's a blast to drive through the twisty roads. The car sticks to the curves and can accelerate more than you can handle or you can relax and enjoy the ride.
Three days later they called and texted about how could they win my business. Exterior Styling-I've had people ask me what kind of body kid my M3 had without realizing that it was stock. Comfort-sure the suspension may be a tad stiff, but that's a given with a sports car. The seats really hold you in place in the corners. I bought it in Germany and it really does the autobahn highway proud. It looks beautiful with its subtle power dome on the hood and the gorgeous fender flares. The performance, roadability and comfort are a perfect mix.
I would recommend this car to anyone and I am so glad that I got it because it has always been my dream car! A 2 on a scale of 1-10 Caveat Emptor, friends. Then they wanted to change the pricing. Other notable features are the heated seats, auto headlamps, backup sensors, and all that fun stuff. I love the design in the car. Being able to use paddle shifters or the shifter comes in handy. An electric motor, meanwhile, sends 131 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque through a two-speed automatic to the front wheels.
