Our 2008 Honda Accord had new Bosch battery installed at 2:00 pm yesterday after very cold night, I went to start it and it failed to start the engine without the use of a jumper. I thought that was what all the idiot lights were for lol. I mentioned it to the very young new mechanic and his response was that this was common, take it on the freeway for a while and it should clear up. I put a brand new alternator in and three days later my car died again. Their first solution was a new battery.
I do have an old antenna toggle switch that is connected to wiring under my dash that I mess around with every now and then but the antenna motor has been disconnected and long since been thrown away. Chuck Alex- Midas checked the battery a week ago battery was good as well as the starting and charging system and the battery is a optima red top battery purchased january of this year its barley a year old. Will try again with new core and valve. Nissan refused to honor the recall for this problem. Second repair for same malfunction. Make sure you have power to the alternator.
Alternator grounds and plug were corroded. To drain a new battery down in just hours, it must be a pretty big drain. The one I pulled out looks like buzzer to me. Check the output of the alternator -- if your not getting close to 14 volts -- it's not working correctly. Wiring harness checked, sensor replaced.
Looked up code and it indicates a problem with the front crash zone sensor. . My question is will a broken key fob got wet cause a drain somehow? Discovered broken wire on diode inside fan control amplifier. Just make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. I couldn't live without the radio - use it to drown out all the other sounds the car makes that I don't want to hear! It was sent to the Nissan Factory and they did a hard reboot and they said it was working, and haven't has any trouble with since then.
