I live this car and the new navigation screen is way better than the tiny one. More like a rubber squeak sound then a clunk. If you have any other questions just ask. I know the aftermarket for it is still great but I don't really wanna mod it besides maybe some interior things shifter knob, simple stuff like that. I checked the front suspension and everything seems fine so I'm sure the problem is at the rear. I understand the need for safety, but you should always be allowed to switch that crap off when you wanna let loose. I would never own one any other way.
Mountain roads are thrilling to go through fast. This has really affected my perception of this car. It's fun at times to have a car that makes such beautiful mechanical music, but I outgrew it. Second, I'm worried about insurance costs. Sometimes when you pull away you feel it jerk a little, and then it kicksin 2006 4dr Sedan 119 kilowatts 2. I have a second gen speed 3 and absolutely love my car. I only have a couple of concerns.
. Well I'll definitely be checking the Suburu dealerships as part of my search, so don't think I've discounted anyone's opinion here. I'll test drive both just to make sure. Time is sort of a factor here, my old car is on it last legs so it's going to be weeks not months before I have to make a decision. I have the Mica paint with matching rims so I would have to have the grill custom painted to match. If you want to mod and have fun, and you want longevity; keep your tune conservative.
I bought it new in December '13 and I'm lucky because I work only 2 miles away from home. Besides my hard fuel line randomly springing a leak all over my engine once, the only thing needed has been oil changes, tires and breaks for years now. And who knows what the previous owner had done to it before stocking out and trading it in. That's actually not true either. Mazda has a considerable history of making reliable high-hp-to-displacement turbo engines, so I wouldn't worry about that. Appearance: This car is subtle looking and not at all a heat score, however it's subtle differences from the base model make it stand out. Something else to consider - your location.

Primary Use: Family transportation Daily Commuter — Performance: 4 cylinder turbo is all I have to say, with tuning capabilities. Primary Use: Commuting to work I Like It — Fun Factor: Fun to drive.
I'm 27 years old father of two children and have no problem smoking you with my son in the back. This car was built for speed on the cheap so of course the fit and finish will not be awesome but it is better than other cars in it's segment. Tuned and driven correctly, it can be pushed very hard, make amazing power and still be reliable. So, given a budget of about 23-24k, am I making a good choice? Mazda has a considerable history of making reliable high-hp-to-displacement turbo engines, so I wouldn't worry about that. These cars are solid and reliable if left stock , but like others have said, since these are fun little hot rods, you just don't know how these cars were driven.
I was lucky with mine and the first owner didn't do any mods and let the stealership do all the maintenance. Boosting under 3k in 5th and 6th are definetaly a no, regardless of tune or upgraded parts. I love summer days when i can put all four windows down and work through the gears, hearing the powerful turbo pulling the car ahead effortlessly. The small turbo has the ability to spool almost instantly, which can cause more load than parts of the engine can handle. The last problem you could get is the shift shaft seal on the shifter assembly below the shift plate could leak and you will see a puddle of transmission fluid build up in that area and you'll sell it as well. You've all been very helpful so far. Just pointing out a mistake.
If you can get over the silly grin and wacky seat color scheme, then there isn't much out there that can compare for under 25k! I've heard some people say this happened to them while stock but I think it's rare and mostly happen to people with modified exhausts. Turbo was replaced with a 3rd revised K04. The kit has been developed specifically for the 2007-2009 Mazdaspeed 3 and was designed and tested to integrate seamlessly with the CorkSport Power Series Short Ram Intake. Little of substance has changed with this year's model. Gen 1 mazdaspeed 3 was the best investment i have made by far. Primary Use: Commuting to work I Survived Crotch Rockets.

Maybe the spring isn't seated properly then rotates on load? If you start the car up and you hear some bad rattle on the passenger side. It also runs better on Ethanol Free gas. I also don't set the load to less than 1. And it still was my all around best daily driver. It did handle pretty well, I just don't like the intrusion.
