I literally almost got rear ended a few times and I am lucky to be alive! Vehicle is now at 88,000 miles and needs another new transmission. So since this was not just me, I contacted Honda headquarters about this issue to see if they would be or had issued a recall on this vehicle regarding the transmission. Honda refused to fix this and I had to spend thousands of dollars to rebuild the transmission.
Hopefully, and in the near future, there will be an investigation into this serious problem before there is fatalities. It also appears that Honda has had these problems with the craftsmanship of their transmissions on the Accords from year models 1998-2002.
