The automatic trans shifted smooth but after the truck warmed up it wouldn't shift up from 2nd gear. Interestingly enough when I dropped the pan, the old filter and seal were in the pan and not installed. The easiest type of technical maintenance is changing engine oil, axles oil, manual and automatic transmission oil. Transmission seems to be sticking on the 1to2 upshift and could be a sticking solenoid in the valve body of the tranny.

If you fill engine or axles of your car with oil to the brim it may damage your vehicle engine or axles and void manufacturer warranty. I guess that is their terminology for the one that goes to the front driveshaft and the rear driveshaft. Since the old seal was in fine shape, I pushed that one back in, which actually fit nice and snug. You should be able to get the front driveshaft off without taking the crossmember out. There is an input seal to the transfer case on the input shaft of the transfer case you will see once you get the transfer case out. The new trains filter will should come with a new gasket, unless your truck was equipped with a reusable one. I'm quite sure this transmission fluid has never been replaced, so i don't know how long it had been like this.
