I've done that with the cigarette lighter, it wasn't working so I ran a wire directly from the cigarette lighter and connected to the corresponding fuse. I think I had stopped for gas and then as I proceeded this time as I was accelerating and had pressed the overdrive button something strange happened. Once you've done this tape the relay closed with fiberglass reinforced tape because it doesn't stretch and tape the housing back onto the base. New at trying to figure this truck out. The small one comes from a bunch of other wires which I don't know where they're going.
I had one that the reverse gear went and I drove it for awhile before I got it fixed. Ceramic clutches outlast stock clutch kits with up to twice the life. These install into the flywheel and make sure that your transmission input shaft is centered and supported. On another one I had once the reverse gear went it took the rest of the tranny with it a short time later. You can see these parts are in close proximity to the oil filter. Seems I'd have to remove the part to disconnect.
Can you tell me if this is the trans overdrive solenoid you have referred to? It will be a little more work going to an auto though. The column itself gets 12 v from the fuse panel. Look at the wiring coming from the shifter button and out the bottom of the shaft. I wasn't so sure about this and was expecting that with the rebuilt tranny it would have shifted into 4th without the overdrive button. How is your trans temp. Other than that, ya you will need a rad that has the trans cooler and lines. Next thing I know he posted on this site that the truck was sold.
This first picture is looking under the hood from above. If your shifter is on a floor console, you've got to open the console by removing the retaining screws, there may be one or two hidden under the ashtray is so equipt. I would never buy from the his dealer, no matter how good the deal is. . It's a little hard to tell but the wire seems to be soldered on. It has 168,000 miles, runs good, and is very reliable.

Cuz I've looked pretty good underneath at the transmission housing and the only part which I see attached to it and with wiring other than the starter motor is the part shown here in the pictures below. U will need a new sensor and a new connector, a salvage yard would be your best bet for the connector if the dealer doesn't have one.

Manual transmissions don't use 'transmission fluid', so they don't have a 'cap' like autos do. You can see the part which I outlined and 1 - the rubber part covering where the large wire coming from the battery connects, and 2- the plastic connector where the small wire connects below: same thing, different lighting. So basically that's what's happening, I cannot shift into 4th gear and the overdrive button is blowing a fuse when it's engaged. And I've outlined the large wire slinky type casing going from the battery terminal to the part. I haven't gotten replies back so I don't know if these are 2 different parts or the same thing.

Sorry but not many autos here in spain ,from your description its pretty obvious whats wrong and to find it you will have to do a process of elimination ,first thing is to unplug the other end of the coble from the gearbox then then see if it still pops the fuse ,if it pops the fuse then its a problem with wiring ,possibly in the area of the steering column ,like a chaffed wire ,if it doesnt pop the fuse you know its a problem with gearbox end ,if the operating solonoid is external than you can change it yourself but is its internal than go back to garage that repaired it for you ,thats about the best advice i can give at the moment other than to say that if your not happy with the auto ,give me some details and i will have a look around the scrapyards here locally for a manual gearbox complete with the flywheel and clutch ,and all the gearchange mechanism Posted on Sep 19, 2009 Do you have your transmission warranty? I'm getting back to you about this solenoid. The wipers are similar but run to a relay for variable speeds then the fuse panel.
